These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website, thegundogcoach.co.uk (the "Site"), and the purchase and participation in our dog training services. By accessing the Site, booking a session, or purchasing a service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Site or book/purchase our services.

1. Introduction and Acceptance of Terms

The Gundog Coach provides training and consultation services to dog owners. These Terms apply to all bookings, purchases, and participation in our services and your use of the Site. You confirm that you have read and understood these Terms and agree to be bound by them.

2. Description of Services

The Gundog Coach provides expert pet services specializing in gundog training. Our services include:

1 to 1 Gundog Training: Personalized, in-person sessions designed to train the owner to train their dog. These sessions are conducted at agreed-upon physical locations.
Online Training and Consultation: Virtual support provided via live video chat or video review/analysis.

2. Nature of Training

Our training philosophy focuses on "training the person to train the dog." The success of the training is dependent upon the owner’s consistency, timing, and application of the techniques provided. While we provide expert guidance and tailored plans, we do not guarantee specific behavioral outcomes as animal behavior is subject to numerous external variables.

3. User Obligations

Dog Health: Owners must ensure that their dogs are fit, healthy, and up to date with vaccinations/titre tests and pest control.
Fitness to Train: You must not bring a dog to a session (in-person or online) if the dog is unwell, injured, in pain, or otherwise unfit to participate. You must inform us of any relevant medical condition, injury, medication, or veterinary advice that may affect training.
Safe Handling and Control: You are responsible for handling your dog safely at all times during sessions and for following reasonable safety instructions given by The Gundog Coach. You must keep your dog under appropriate control (including using a lead, long line, muzzle, or other management tools where advised or required) and ensure the training environment is safe.
Behavior Disclosure: Owners must disclose any history of aggression or reactivity toward people or other dogs prior to booking an in-person session.
Equipment: Owners are responsible for providing the necessary equipment (leads, whistles, etc.) as recommended during the sessions.

4. Booking and Payment

All sessions must be booked through our official channels.
Payments are required in advance. Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your time slot unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Payments are processed securely via our third-party payment processor.

5. Refund and Cancellation Policy

5.1 In-Person 1 to 1 Training

Cancellations by the Client: Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled session will be eligible for a full refund or a one-time reschedule. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice are non-refundable.
Cancellations by The Gundog Coach: We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule sessions due to extreme weather, trainer illness, or safety concerns. In such cases, a full refund or alternative date will be offered.

5.2 Online Training and Consultations

Digital Content/Video Reviews: Once a video review has been completed and sent to the client, or a live consultation has commenced, no refunds will be issued.
Live Session Cancellations: The same 48-hour notice period applies to virtual live chats. If notice is given less than 48 hours before the call, the fee is non-refundable.

5.3 Technical Issues

For online services, if technical issues on the part of The Gundog Coach prevent the session from occurring, the session will be rescheduled. If the technical issue is on the client's end, we will attempt to facilitate the session, but no refund will be provided for lost time.

6. Limitation of Liability

The Gundog Coach will exercise all reasonable care and skill in providing services. However, dog training involves inherent risks.

The owner remains responsible for the dog’s actions at all times during and after training sessions.
The Gundog Coach is not liable for any injury or damage caused by the dog during or after training, including (without limitation) injury to people, other animals, or damage to property, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
The Gundog Coach shall not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage to persons, dogs, or property, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law (e.g., negligence resulting in personal injury).

7. Intellectual Property

All materials provided during training, including training plans, instructional videos, and digital guides, are the intellectual property of The Gundog Coach. These materials are provided for personal use only and may not be redistributed, resold, or used for commercial purposes without express written consent.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

Your personal data will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and relevant UK data protection legislation. We may record online sessions for your future reference, but only with your prior consent.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
